With the development and democratization of technology, the boundary between research and expression has become blurred. From this confluence, new and unexplored forms of expression have emerged; revealing new perspectives, ideas, and even emotions, these new ways have given our minds a forceful jolt.
Led by Dentsu Lab Tokyo and Dentsu Craft Tokyo, Creative Aliens is a place for renewing our understanding of creativity. Through talk sessions and workshops and together with artists and researchers, we will explore and engage in new ways of thinking and creating.

On Thursday, March 25, 2021, "Creative Aliens #002 The Necessary Unnecessary" was held and broadcast online. With the event now available to watch on-demand, we bring you a written report. The opening session began with a talk by Takashi Kawashima, who planned and curated this event for Dentsu Craft Tokyo, and moderator Yuna Tsukada. Creative Aliens is an event-based project that was launched in 2019 by Dentsu Lab Tokyo and Dentsu Craft Tokyo.
